Quite simply the best movie we have seen for a long time. Colin Firth puts in a very solid and convincing performance, but for me, and SWMBO, Geoffrey Rush is the real star, watchable for every single frame he is on. Should scoop all the awards and deservedly so. Only minor quible, the period lighting is taken a little bit too far.

Agreed. Superb film. Not sure what you mean about the lighting. Seems suitably sombre throughout, though never particularly dark.
